About us

Our mission is to engage and empower children and young people through sports and inspire young athletes to be the best they can be.

What
we
do

The LouLou Race Foundation aims to support underfunded young people in their sports aspirations and nurture talent. The Foundation supports individuals in solo and team sports by financing young athletes' all the necessary costs and support, whether providing equipment, arranging travel for competitions, or providing access to top-level mentors and professional coaches.

We hope all young athletes who join the LouLou Race Foundation programme feel part of a wider supportive community cheering on one another.

How
it
began

A
family
story

After discussing with the children his desire to give back, Pete felt it would be a fitting tribute to his wife to establish the LouLou Race Foundation in Louise’s memory.

Louise
Bracken-Smith

The LouLou Race Foundation was established in memory of Louise Bracken-Smith, a devoted wife, mum of four, business leader, and triathlon champion who lived in Jersey.

Sporting
ambition

Louise and Pete’s children have been fortunate enough to follow their sporting ambitions without any restrictions. Not all children have the same opportunities, so the family felt that a charitable foundation would help redress the balance while honouring Louise.

A
quote
from
Harvey

“Legacy is not measured by the amount of money you accumulate but rather by your impact on those around you. My mum’s death does not represent an end to her legacy or life; it represents a checkpoint as her spirit lives on, and we can progress into the next steps of our lives.”

- Harvey Bracken-Smith, Louise’s son
