Siena Stephens

Sport has been a huge part of Siena Stephens’ young life. Born in 2007, her triathlon journey began when she completed the Bloodwise Triathlon at the age of seven, which she says really opened her eyes to the sport and is where she developed a taste for the fun and competitiveness of it all. She is currently part of the Jersey Triathlon Academy and Caligo Tigers Swimming Club in the Junior Youth (16-19 years) category and is also currently part of the England Next Generation team, which gives her the opportunity to train at camps throughout the year and gain access to support from England’s top coaches and support teams. Siena is always ready to make great happen!

“From finding my feet in the sport at age 7 to competing at national events in the UK, I have progressed hugely over the past 10 years under the coaches at both my clubs, through the ups and downs.

With the help of my coaches and consistent training, I intend to build strength on the bike and improve my run by utilising strength and conditioning and hill work.

In 2025 I will be competing in the British Triathlon Super Series in my first year as a Junior, and I aim to finish in the top end of the rankings, hopefully picking up some podiums and earning a GB vest!

Also, hopefully, I’ll be competing in some European Cup races to gain experience competing internationally and race in France at their National Championships.

In the future I would love to keep improving and progressing in the sport. My goals are to represent Jersey at the Commonwealth Games, earn a GB vest, and place high up at European and world levels.

I know it is a high ambition, but I have always had a dream to compete at the Olympic Games. I know it is a very tough ask, but that is my dream. Receiving the LouLou Race Foundation funding is a huge honour and an opportunity to help me develop in triathlon.

From starting my journey in the sport as a young Tristar being coached weekly by enthusiastic coaches like Lou to now being a focused athlete competing in the national series, and hopefully beyond, consistency and attention to detail are critical.

This funding will help me find gains through sport-specific training, physical conditioning, nutrition, and psychology. It will also help me explore the world of marginal gains, which can add up to larger gains overall. I know this was a big part of Lou’s approach, and I hope to follow in her footsteps with this mindset.

I feel extremely grateful and humble to have this opportunity and will do everything I can to make Lou and her family proud.”
